So often we read the Word but find ourselves distant from the stories and places of those found within it. The truth is, when you are able to better understand the culture and location of the events in the Bible, it becomes much ‘more than a book’.

In this series, we have traveled to Israel to film in locations where some of the best known stories in scripture take place, allowing the lessons to penetrate even further as they come to life.

01. Walk on Water

Everyone has been through a situation or season in life where it seemed like God wasn’t there or didn’t see what was going on. God sees you and is there to encourage you, catch you if you fall and help you through the rough parts. He provides peace that surpasses understanding, revealing his glory.

02. Crossing Over

The Jordan River was not just a river flowing through the Holy Land, but was an important part of the process that the Israelites and Jesus both went through to step into their identity and calling as the people of God.

03. The King of Thrones

David and Goliath is often seen as an underdog story, however, it is clear from the moment David was anointed as King, he was no underdog. We are called to be Kings of the King and can walk boldly in the authority given us.

04. Southern Steps

After Jesus’ resurrection and ascension, the presence of God no longer needed to reside in the Temple. God chose to make us his new Temple. We house the abiding presence of God and must take that responsibility seriously and honor it by stewarding our bodies and ensuring our mount is healthy & leading people to Christ.

05. In the Wilderness

Israel wandered in the desert for a long time before they were finally able to walk into the Promised Land. The process may not have always been fun but it was vital for them in order to receive their promise. They were stuck in a slavery mentality and the time in the desert allowed them to repent and depend on God wholly.

06. Good Samaritan

The greatest command of all is to love those around us, yet we often find excuses as to why we cannot. We think we’re too busy, don’t want to interfere, or maybe we think they deserve what they’re going through. The reality is that all of these mindsets distract us from our greatest command - to love.

07. The Sin of Jeroboam

Jeroboam was given an amazing promise and opportunity by God. However, he forgot the credibility of God to fulfill his promises and selfishly thought the promise was only for his benefit. He decided that convenience trumped true worship. In the end, these three traps stole his promise.

08. Who Do You Say I Am?

When we identify who Jesus is, we realize who we are. Jesus is our light, peace, joy and so much more. In addition to that, we can be confident and battle the fear and anxiety that may plague us in life. God has given us all the tools we need. The gates of hades will not prevail!
